　　Dr. Yu Xinbao简介：

　　Dr. Yu, Xinbao is currently an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. Dr. Yu received his B.S. degree in Structural Engineering from Chang'an University in 2000, M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from Southeast University in 2003. He obtained his second M.S. in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University, NY in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH in 2009. Before joining UTA, Dr. Yu worked as a research associate in Louisiana Transportation Research Center (LTRC) for two years where he supervised several projects on structure monitoring, LRFD design of deep foundations, and in-situ testing technology. Dr. Yu’s main research interests include sensor technology for infrastructure monitoring, geothermal foundation, foundation reliability design, and discrete element method.

　　Dr. Yu serves the technical committee of Transportation Research Board on Unsaturated Soil Mechanics and Exploration and Classification of Earth Materials, and Geo-Institute on Geotechnics of Soil Erosion and Unsaturated Soil Mechanics.
